WYD Lisbon 2023 Testimonials

World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon was an event in which we were invited to participate in a different way. The proximity of Santo André to the host city, Lisbon, not only invited us to be pilgrims, it also invited us to be volunteers and made our parish a welcoming parish for young people from all over the world.

With so many invitations and so many ways to take part in this Journey, I'm sure everyone will have been marked in a different way by their experience.

Since faith is lived in community and by sharing our experiences, we, the altar server group of Santo André, want to collect as many testimonies as possible about the experience of this WYD, from everyone who is connected to our parish or has been here.

Our aim is, after collecting all these stories, to compile them into a book which, as well as serving as a fundraiser for the group, will keep a record of Christ's presence in Santo André's Parish during this unique opportunity

On this form you can leave your testimony, in text or audio format, in any size you like. We also give you the opportunity to add some photos of yourself at this WYD, which can then accompany the testimony in the final product.

Although this form is the preferred method, testimonies can also be handed in, either physically or digitally, to one of the altar servers.
